"Spontaneous Discharges" are a myth born of attempts to conceal a Negligent Discharge and shift liability from the bozo who tried to holster his gun with his finger on the trigger, or allowed/had something inside the trigger guard that activated/pressed the trigger. The following week I shot about 350 rounds of 115, 124 and 147 grain bullets and had a higher frequency of light primer strike and failure of the bullet to fire with the 124 grain NATO bullets compared to the 115 and 147 grain bullets. Photos of bullets from both sessions included. I had my LGS send the gun back to Sig for repairs.Easy process and may take five minutes (plenty of YouTube "how to" videos out there). However, my P365 is an early production model (February 2018) and aside from the dead night sights (which was fixed by Sig), I have yet to have an issue with the gun. The striker is the original and works like a charm. higgybaby, 24/7/365, ClayD and 4 others.Sig P365 won't feed/chamber. I just received my back-ordered Sig P365 a few days ago and took it to the range today after I cleaned and lubed it for the first time. I used Sig 115 gr and Winchester 115gr ammo, and three new Sig mag's. Right from the start, I had failure to feed/chamber problems. I thought that the problems might be due …P365-380 So many issues for me. I bought a new p365 380 from a local shop less than a month ago. I read about all the issues with the early 365s with failure to return to battery and light primer strikes etc, and it seemed like most of the newer models were ok based on reviews. So I gave it a try.My other Sig P365 went through about 2,000 rounds without a hiccup, except for one failure to fire, which I put down to a hard primer and some mixed factory ammo in an IDPA match. I was mainly puzzled by these failures. Next, I loaded up the two new magazines with my CC ammo: Federal HST 124-grain standard pressure.The SIG Sauer P365 has distinct advantages over a 5-shot .38 snubby, single-stack 9mm or smaller pocket pistol, making it well-suited for concealed carry. The flip side of this is choosing something tiny and “cute” in a poor-performing caliber such as .22 LR, .22 Magnum, .25 ACP (6.35mm Browning) or .32 ACP (7.65mm Browning).

Simply put, for EDC purposes, the P365 X-Macro is more or less the size of a compact P320 in all respects but is much slimmer, and comes with a ported slide, and an optics mounting solution right from the factory. Striker tips can break on any handgun regardless of make or model. SIG had a bad run of them early in P365 production but that problem was licked a long time ago. The new striker will have a stronger, beveled tip on it and should last you many thousands of rounds.

Fortunately it causes no problem with my XL hands. I have discovered I shoot just as well with the flush 10 round mag though. Hollow point ammo is a step up in quality compared to cheap round nose. It tends to run closer to full power. The actual shape of the bullet nose at the opening can be picky, tho. One will never have an issue, another might. How it rides up the ramp and the feed angle where it intersects can be touchy.

One of my p365’s was an early model that had the same issue. SIG replaced the weapon. I took a video at the indoor range I go to locally. I informed them that I had an issue and needed to video while shooting and they didn’t have a problem. I placed my phone on my range bag and leaned it against the lane wall. Overall, the P365 ran great. I can't believe how soft it shoots. I did have some mag problems. I had some failures to feed with the Winchester Train 147gr fmj. The round stuck in the mag and did not reach the feed ramp. A single pull on the slide made the round feed normally. Ruger LCP is a lot smaller than the 365, Glock 43 is small and Sigs own 938 is small, all have easy to use magazine releases.
